can it be real that it takes approx 4 hours to have finish divx movie??

I am just using the instructions that follows with Gknot

do i do something wrong because in the first pass it plays the movie very very slow this takes about 2hours

and i have read that in the secaond pass it have to run yhe movie again and thats 2 hours again

Obviously you're not in this for long. 4 hours is really fast!
I remember the times, and that's not very long ago, when it took me 12h+ to make my encodes (running over night).

but then its much faster to record the move onto a SVHS and then record it back to mpeg or avi.
