I have a lg blueray burner and I would like to reallly make some use out of it. I was intrested in making some blue-ray backups and converting and shrinking them to the size of a dvd9 (depending on the length of the movie). I tried anydvd and ripped 2 movies to my hdd but im not sure where to go from here as far as encoding them to fit to my desired size (8.5 gigs) I am not sure what is better vc1 or x.264 encoding, can some one tell me? The one thing I like about vc1 ios the fact I can stream it to by xbox360 (I also have a ps3 if that is beeter to stream with). I would apriciate all comments and help thank you.
Edit: After doing more research I ran across a program called MP2TSME 4.0. If I understand this correctly it can change the blueray movie files to watchable h.264 files and hopefully combine them. Im looking for the program atm but I could really use some sugestions on the best way to go about doing this since I work 75 hours a week :(. I would hate to be wastiung my time .
