black and white pic

I got a dvd from asia and Iive in U.S. when i play it on my dvd player, the pic is black and white.So, what do i need to do to make colered?

Do i need like to change it from Pal-Ntsc or what?
please help.

Is it a PAL DVD and you have an NTSC player and TV? If so, then yes, you will need to convert it to NTSC.

Does it play properly on a PC?

Hi!

1) What's the Title and Region Number (on the label and or packaging) of the "purchased in Asia" DVD?

2) Silly question, perhaps, but are you sure it's not supposed to be Black and White?

3) Have you successfully played other purchased DVDs on this same standalone DVD player?

If you have a multi-standard capable TV, you might be able to find some video input "colour system" settings you can adjust.
