View Full Version : How to decrypt WM-DRM?

Okay I know as a new user posting this I am just asking to be flamed, which seems to be the custom on this board, but please hear me out.:helpful:

I've been reading this forum for a long time though I have not posted before now, and I have found the threads on decrypting the latest version of WM-DRM incredibly unhelpful. There are at least three different threads on the subject, all dedicated to highly technical discussion totally incomprehensible to the average user. While the old FairUse4WM had an easy to use GUI, as far as I can gather the method to decrypt the latest IBX version requires at least two different programs, both of which are command line only. I have thus far been unable to find on this forum any actual explanation of how to use them.

So I was wondering if someone familiar with these programs could post simple directions for using these programs to decrypt Windows DRM. Believe me, if there was already a FAQ on this I wouldn't ask, but since there's not, would someone mind creating one? Thanks.

Dude - I totally agree...
I've even tried asking questions, but I still don't get it...
Will there be another program like fairuse?
Is there anyway that freeme2 can be used without having to insert code (-s or whatever)?
I've tried multiple things from all the threads with no luck...

Please help :)

Bump. Not be obnoxious, but the question still hasn't been answered.

OK you look as if you need an answer... First off FU4WM has only been resurrected by talented people who know how WM-DRM works and great at hex-editing...

The original source for FU4WM is not available it was never released. Neither has the source for mirakagi though many have asked for it...

All the people that have been involved in the disassembling and recreation and even the first make of FU4WM have completely disappeared...

So chances are that there will be no newer version...

Okay I see a lot of discussion :) First of all (if I am not wrong ;)) you now don't have to add the -s switch since FreeMe2 asks you for sid automatically. In example you can just drag your drm file and drop it on the FreeMe2.exe file. Second I don't fully agree with you Ajax... FU4WM can be resurrected, this is what mirakagi did. We maybe never able to make major changes to the program itself but I don't think it is necessary. The only thing we need is a new blackbox-keys.txt... I have some *info* regardging IBX extraction but as I said before without the approval of people involved in original project I am not going to release it (although I would really like to :))
