DTS audio in a video file for PS3 playback

I've got a .m2v file and a .dts file from a dvd. Now what can I do with them? I know I can put them in a .mkv, but I was hoping to make a file with dts audio I can play on the PS3, is that not possible?

Why not play the DVD?! Anyway I'm sure the PS3 doesnt accept elementary streams and that you would need to mux it to something that the PS3 accepts.

You could try renaming to .mpg. This works for playing .ts files (even better would be to use vlc or something to remux as a proper Mpeg2 PS).

No the PS3 doesn't play elementary streams, what I'm trying to do is mux the streams into something the PS3 will play, I expected to be able to put it in a mpg, but I just don't see how. As far as using the DVD, physical media is old hat, I feel like a hillbilly using discs for standard definition content.

I'm having the same issue. I've got a some 1080p m2v with their relevant DTS audio. The PS3 doesn't support DTS when it's being streamed so I'm having to convert the DTS to DD and then mux the m2v and ac3 files in TMPGEnc.

Not having much luck so far however!!
