View Full Version : Trying to reinitiate an encode

Just a remark, not a request.
I am using DVD-RB 98.2 (probably similar behaviour in Pro) and HC0.22.
I am encoding and have encoded successfully 3 M2v files (as an example). The 4th M2v started encoding: I want to stop it (and I click on the exit button in the HC window instead of the abort button of the DVD-RB window). By the time I realize that I have to click on the abort button, the 5th M2v already started, and when I will resume the encoding, it will start from the 5th one (even if the 4th one was interrupted with an exit button).

As you know now, click on the abort button within RB. ;)
A workaround is to go to your working dir, open rebuilder.inf and lower the number of Encode_Progress= under [status] by one. :)

Of course, you can always encode the segment "manually" in HC just by sending the INI/AVS to it.

I restarted it from scratch (before I got your reply, Rippraff) but to understand the process, I could have restarted the encode (from the 5th M2v) and, when finished , do the 4th one manually and then Rebuild.
No need to reply if I understand it correctly.
Thx always for your help, both of you.

Right, but the way I pointed out above and then restart is much easier. ;)
