I recently tried encoding Boogie Nights with Gordian Knot (DivX 3) and it looks great...but on one PC I play it with Media Player and the picture is up-side-down (yet it's fine on my 2nd PC)
The DVD was rg1 NTSC and I had to perform IVTC. Both PC's are running XP
plz, any idea why this is playing inverted...I'm sure it's someting simple, and I've done something stoopid :)
thx

i had that problem when using the divx 4.xx codec to play back divx 3 material
easy solution is to use a player like sasami2k and choose flip image from the options

Ok, but since players as the likes of bsplayer, Zoomplayer and mpayer classic rely on mplayer2 routines AFAIK, why then the behavior is different? Bsplayer is the only one I know of to play YUV2 video correctly without flip image checkbox enabled in ffdshow. Additionally, in Zoomplayer the picture is been shown in a false aspect ratio. How to explain that?
