Ps3 AVC with hardcoded subs

Hello

I did read a lot the past few days and came to no conclusions,
so if anyone can help , apreciated a lot :)

I have some mkv HD films (720p) that are h264 and ac3 audio.Have external srt subs and wanted to harcode the subs into video, preference not reencoding the video. The goal is play that file in my new PS3 .I read about streaming from PC to PS3 via Tversity but not an option for me.Is there a way to hardcode subs into video to make a playable MP4 or AVCHD
Tryed Nero Digital but the PS3 doesnt have an option to open the subs in those so any expert help apreciated :thanks:

Unfortunately you'll need to transcode that AC3 to AAC to get 6 ch audio in mp4. For the subtitles aspect, I'm not quite sure. You'll have to ask someone else.

Instead of MP4 use MKV. Once you have mkv then use mkv2vob.

The other option for embedding fonts might be using of mencoder.
But it is not that easy as GUI based tools
