Hi!
I try to convert an AC3 file to WAV/MP3 using BeSweet and the doom9's settings, and I always get sync pb when I try to mix the final audio with the video.
My AC3 is extracted with DVD2AVI and my video is made with Gordian / Nandub with the doom9's settings.
My audio param are : Normal Dynamic Compression, Joint Stereo.
I tried old and New Merger / 5 / VBR -wavmp3 ) -azid( -z1 -b1 -c normal -g max ) -lame( -m j -b 320 )and 320 CBR -wavmp3 ) -azid( -z1 -b1 -c normal -g max ) -lame( -m j -v --vbr-mtrh -V 5 )
I put the 500/500 audio interleave.
The result is still the same.
Did I miss something or am I wrong ?

1) can you give us the filename of the ac3 dvd2avi extracted

2) what program did you use to mux the audio?

1°) My File name is "project AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3" extrated with DVD2AVI 1.76

2°) My program used to mux the audio is VD 1.4.5 (with the corect interleaving setting)

I tried another method and found something a bit strange : I converted my AC3 file into a 16 bit PCM .wav one. Then I applied a DeDynamic conversion and finaly converted into a 320 CBR MP3 .wav file using lame : The sync is perfect !

Do you think the problem was coming from azid ?

Virtualdub cant handle AC3 audio tracks. Read Doom9 Guides .... Nandub RC2 or special Vdub AC3 ( both from Doom9 download ) are the tools to use ...

@totoro

Everything your stating is all wrong. You really need to go read the guides. I hope your 320k MP3 was just for testing:) That's total overkill for a movie.
