I have "Black Rain" R1 DVD. The authored dvd only has an fbi warning, trailer of the movie itself, and the main movie w/ 1 audio track.
I blanked the warning and trailer and outputted the new files. The main movie was 4:3 Letterboxed so I made a .d2v and made a custom script to make it 16:9, and I did a separate encode of the main movie using HC Encoder.
Is it possible for me to re-insert the new encoded main movie somehow using VobBlanker? I want to merge it back with the menu if I can.

You can import the new movie in the original DVD with PgcEdit's Import VTST Titles function. Really easy if the re-encoded movie has the same number of cells than the original. Otherwise, you will have to edit the chapter menu manually.

Would I have to strip the chapters file w/ PgcDemux, and author the .m2v file that HC Encoder made in say MuxMan to bring back the original cells before importing via PgcEdit?

Yes. You can use the Celltimes.txt file produced by PgcDemux or PgcEdit, and import it in muxman. Then, use PgcEdit to import the VTS created by muxman in the original DVD.
Note that the chapter points will be set as near as possible to the original points, but for exact chapter points, you must specify them in HCE too.

Where is this Import VTST Titles option in PgcEdit? I couldn't find it. Thanks r0lZ!

You can use VobBlanker's Replace function to replace the PGC. It fixes chapter tables if they are too long or short.
