I tried to Google and read through forums to see if this problem had occurred before, but even though it has, I'm not sure I'm finding what I need to fix the problem.

I'm backing up an HBO show, but the beginning of each show (and sometimes chapters) seem to stutter, both audio and video. I'm not sure where to look to fix this.

I've ripped with DVD-Decrypter, used VobBlanker to remove the HBO static logos and extras, and then used the latest HCEnc to encode with mostly everything at default.

Any ideas?

Do you have the same problem if you DON'T " remove the HBO static logos and extras"?

Let me run a test and see what happens; I'll report back.

Looks like you were on to something. I tested another disc, blanking the HBO static logos and found some stuttering. Did the same disc again but without removing the logos, and voila, the stuttering is gone.

Question is, I guess, is there anything I can try at this point? Or should I just avoid removing the logos?

You certainly could try doing the removal AFTER you've used DVD Rebuilder...

You know... such an idea had never occurred to me; albeit, that means DVD-RB can't benefit from the saved space.
