dvdrb equivalent in OSX

I want to move to Macs but I am not sure if I can find an equivalent to dvdrb. Also if there is an equivalent, what encoder can I use? I am using hcencoder in vista.

DVD Rebuilder Pro runs very well under Wine on Linux. I do not have a Mac but have heard of others running Wine on the Mac OS.
