Having a problem backing up this title. Have tried Ripit4me, DVDshrink, and DVDFab. I also run Anydvd in the background when a program doesn't object. Any suggestions?

Ripping with Anydvd to the hard drive and then using Dvdshrink worked like a charm.

AnyDVD 6.3.0.1 beta and use the AnyDVD ripper to rip it first and then process it with any program needed.

As with all New Line discs with X-Protect you have to rip the disc to your HDD with the AnyDVD ripper or CloneDVD before using other software for processing.

I had problems too. After a loooong search about it in the www, I found a solution.

using DVDFAB Platinum 4 I can get a backup of Pirates of Caribbean - At the End's World. (Unload AnyDVD to DVDFAB run properly)

That software offers many features . I backed up MAIN MOVIE only, with success.

usual reply... DVDFAB HD Decrypter is a 100% free and does the same as Platinum but it has less features.
The ripping part is exacly the same though.

I don't use AnyDVD, but from what I read, that may not be the latest version.

AnyDVD 6.0.1.1 is ancient. Go to their website and get the latest official version (6.3.1.2) or go to their forums and get the latest beta (6.3.1.3). Both will handle Shoot 'Em Up.

ok, so I downloaded the new version 6.3, but I've gotten some more messages, one i think about 'condition' is the disk? but its brand new.. Anyways, here they are

It's most likely related to the X-Protect copy protections used on the disc. I haven't used DVD Decrypter in ages so I'm not even going to delve into the possible reasons for the specifics of the problem. If you want to do a full-disc rip then just use the AnyDVD ripper that is part of AnyDVD. You can do whatever you want with it from there.

Right click on the little fox in the tray > Rip Video HD to Hard Disc

It shouldn't take that long. Maybe 20 minutes tops.

Blah! I was able to decrypt it, but when I played the disc it played fine for about 20mins, then it started skipping nonstop and was unplayable...the movie was like fast forwarding itself
Anyways, I guess I'm through trying to copy this movie. :(

Skipping is usually a function of poor media / player issues.

Does it skip after you play the ripped version on a software player?
