I have done some backups of some of my Blu-Ray movies but now I would like to convert them into something that will play on my Playstation 3 and will fit on a DVD-9.

This is what I have done succesfully so far:
1. Backup movie from PS3 to external hardrive.
2. Decrypt movie.
3. Demux streams with xport.
4. Use eac3to to convert sound to AC3
5. Create new video stream with Mainconcept to 720p ES

Here starts my problem. I would now like to mux this stream into M2TS either as AVCHD or Blu-Ray stream but there is no clear way to do this. What would be a good and reliable way to do this?
I have tried Xmuxer to transport stream and then run it through Tsremux but this gives a slight sync issue for some reason. This stream played on the PS3 though.

Any advise would be great.

you can use Encore CS3 to generate a valid m2ts

or Scenarist HDVM.. but I not been able to get it to work
I'm trying my for test with Scenarist HDMV h264+ac3 but I got a error when muxing.

MUX_SN_E_TS_UNDERFLOW_ERR

not been able to find help for that error.

I know that the h264 file is reconized in Encore CS3, and doesn't need to be trancoded for bluray output.

you can check AutoMKV to generate 264 valid for Encore CS3. I post lot a posts in the forum for this.

Thank You,

Scenarist works great ( a little cranky about the input streams ) but as long as your stream is made correct it will work.

can you tell me how to make a valid input for Scenarist ?

it's the "as long as your stream is made correct" that I'm not able to get for Scenarist.. work perfectly in CS3..

Sure, This is what has been working for me making AVCHD for the PS3.
I use the Mainconcept H264/AVC Encodes V2.

I have only tested with 1440*1080 (AVCHD) and 1920*1080 (Blu-Ray HD) resolutions

Under "Advanced" I change the following settings:
Under Basic Settings tab.
Video Preset: H.264 High
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Frame/Field Encoding: Interlaced
Field Order: Top field first
KeyFrame Interval: 18
check Set keyframe at scene change
Bitrate mode: Variable bitrate
Average Bitrate(kbps): (Whatever you prefer )
Maximum Bitrate(kbps): 21000

Under Advanced Video Settings tab.
Profile:High
Level:4.1
check use B-Pictures: 2
check Multiple Slices: 4
Reference Frames: 4
Search Shape: 8x8
Subpixel mode: Quarter
Fast and check the rest.

Under Miscellaneous tab
Rate control:
VBV buffer size (in bytes) 2624960
Initial VBV buffer fullness 10
Final VBV buffer fullness 100

Thats It!

This stream can be imported by Scenarist and made into a AVCHD

Hope this can be helpful
