Hi folks,
First of all, I wish to everyone Happy New Year!
Please help with any advice. I will research every clue on my own; just point me to the right direction.
I set up my old PC to run Windows MCE 2004 with output to Sony CRT 32" TV via DVI input 720x480 resolution. The biggest challenge for me is to fit desktop on TV – almost impossible on this old TV. After spending ton of time I settle on 720x480 with some tweaking using nVidia control panel. This works great for me to record and watch programs on TV (mpeg2 format). But some programs I’d like to burn onto DVD using Nero Vision to convert large MPEG2 file to DVD structure (not sure if this is possible directly or some more conversion is required from DVR-MS to AVI files). I cannot even try as Nero doesn’t run on 720x480 resolution and I need to change resolution to higher, with gives me a lot of problems, as I cannot fit image of desktop to TV. I need to go to nVidia Control panel, do a lot of tweaking etc, in order to be able to fit the image on TV. After burning show I’m going back and change resolution to 720x480 and do tweaking. All this is very annoying. Is it possible to create DVD on MCE2004 any other way without changing resolution from 720x480???? I thing maybe a plug-in to MCE2004? (Though I need ability to edit video before burning). Or another application instead of Nero?
Thanks for any advice.
P.S. My hardware: dell dimension 4600C (low profile case), gForce 6200 APG 8x card with only DVI output
