After having trouble with two newer releases that some rippers failed on, I decided to put aside the one-click tools and try the obsolete ones.
SMARTRIPPER for the movie only
VOBEDIT to join the clips
IFOEDIT to create ifo's and get vts sectors or FIXVTS
FOLDER2ISO
IMGBURN

The answer is out there....just keep searching!!

Hi!

What were the Titles and Region #s of the two problematic DVDs?

Rush Hour 3 R#1 single disk, "New Line" release
Shoot 'Em Up R#1 single disk, "New Line" release

Both disks showed an overly large data count for Dvd-9's

In the SMARTRIPPER settings, uncheck the box to ignore low disk space.

Have just updated DvdFab to 4035 beta and will try this a little later.

By no means is the procedure I used an easy fix but if some setting are changed and attention to detail is noted, there is a chance some older programs will work.

If you'd performed a search at these forums, you'd have noted that both of these DVDs can be successfully (and EASILY) ripped using the latest releases any of the following:

(Commercial) DVD95CopyPro
(Commercial) AnyDVD
(Freeware) DVDFabHD Decrypter
