Video from VHS trouble flicking and fluctuation

Hello. I've a NTSC japanese vhs and i've recorde on my pc using a japanese vcr with composite aux.

The most problem of video, the vhs are so old, are that seam flutter up/down; if i play the vhs with the TV this problem are the same.

I've tried some test but the output seam always the same.

I don't know how much of the instability is due to the VHS. The major motion seems to be gate weave from the original telecine (the film moving around slightly in the projector gate).

I don't know if one of the camcorder footage stabilisers will work on this, but it's worth a try.

Sorry I can't give you direct pointers - I haven't used something like this - but hopefully searching for fixes for film gate weave issues, rather than VHS issues, will help a little.

There is no problem, what you see at the bottom is the head cross over point,its on all vhs recordings, crop it out.

Well the problem is that the image (all the image) quiver.

And it quiver in tv too.
Seem like was regitered with a "hand-camera" ^^.

I dont want use commercial plugin like streadymove, but avisynth seam cant help with it.

All I saw was the switch points at the bottom, will look again.

EDIT: I looked at again and it is normal for VHS.......at the right or left edge you see quivering, that artifact can very from VHS to VHS machine. It is a result of many things, mostly tape stretch and unbalance rec/playback rotory heads. Possible solution is to play the tape back with with a deck that has a TBC ( Time base Corrector) or a better deck.

I wish that was so but the all computer captures are missing horizontal sync pulses so there is no reference to be found in the capture to do a T.B.C.

This leaves you no choice but to play it back on a VHS deck with TBC.

i try your script but i dont see any absolute fix to the quivering T_T
watching the head (i mean chara's head) border line, that seem the same

I use VCR image stabilizing and tuning, but the video still quiver on TV too...
Steadyhand make a output video that turn all for fix the shaking... it's horrible...

Steady Move Pro can fix it?

I've tried with a other one hardware... a radeon 7200 vivo, for recorder.

The quivering seem less but the video have ghost problem T_T
