What happens if I edit the ILVU segments?

I am working with a multiangle DVD. In the preview window of the editor, it says that I can not edit the ILVU segments.

What happens if I compress it or turn it into a slideshow?

It won't work. ILVU requires a lot of special consideration. For example, if it represents angles, each of the angles must have exactly the same number of frames. They must also be very close in size and have different maximum bitrate requirements than standard video.
