Hi.
This is an issue i'm having there's one month, and now i decided to ask for help.
For some strange reason, my computer has just stopped encoding AAC audio. Dunno why.
I try to encode it on megui, it gives me an error.
i try on BeLIght, it gives me this:
Error 84: error configuring bsn!
Anywhere i try to encode AAC, whatever the source is (WAV,AC3), it do not encodes, it prompts me an error.
Well, i have nero's executable here for encoding aac. Also, i have its dlls on belight's folder. I just would like to know, if there's anything more i need in order to encode aac. This problem "started from nothing". I can encode AAC only if i run Nero, go on Encode Audio option, balbalabla.
Thanks for any help.

Hi!
Have you tried performing a "System Restore" back to the last time things worked properly for you?

Heh
Thanks for your reply dude
I don't know this expression in english, but...i'm the guy who fix everyone's else computer (hardware/software) ^^ I'm not that n00b hehehe
I've formatted my PC, and decided to try Vista . It is being fine.
But even with XP, i can't encode into AAC. Everywhere gives me an error.
On google, i foundd out about the BSN dll. It is on the BelIght's folder, but nothing happened, still with error.
I would like to do as i did in old times, encoding audio trough megui ^^
Thanks for the reply, and the help

Dude
Thanks for your reply.
I downloaded Nero DLL's from their site, today.
And i still have this problem.
Also i downloaded the bsn package.
All required dll's are in BeSweet folder.

Thanks for the screenshot. Aren't you missing NeroIPP.dll?
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15738
33. How to encode properly in AAC with the Nero Digital Encoder Engine ?
First, you need bsn.dll from the last BeSweet beta package. Then, this library uses aacenc32.dll, aac.dll and NeroIPP.dll from Nero Bundle. So, grab & copy them from Common Files/Ahead/AudioPlugins folder. In addition, if you have Nero 7 you can use also bse_Nero7WA.dll from Dimzon plugins.

Man.
Most of my downloads, came from google.
I google for what i need, then... as i recall, they came from free-codecs.com , or doom9. I don't know,i'm only worried if they're working.
Only things that will directly affect the video quality (Like filters, avisynth) i download from places that i trust.
But, for what reason you want to know my sources ?
I can grantee you they're ok =]

It is okay you don't want to answer. A reply like this would have been sufficient:
A) link here http://www.videohelp.com/tools/BeSweet
B) www.ahead.com/.... bla bla some stuff (their site???)
C) bsn package - I can't find any description what do you mean, since the bsn.dll itself is contained in the download link mentioned under A)
Do you have the NeroIPP.dll? It is not in the folder you posted the screenshot from. I am only trying to help. :helpful::readfaq: (Q33):)

Hey Jeffy
Thanks for what you've told me ;P
I'm not that newbie, its just that i'm a bit "insane" to fix this error that i don't pay attention to things that we really need (even a n00b or a l33t, such as faq).
Well, i've did everything you told me . Also, started a new BeSweet folder, now using BeSweet gui.
Checked each dll, and i'm still having the bsn error. From where ? Dunno.
If i grab a CD here, and install Nero 8, i can run Nero and encode AAC. But we know thats the hard mode ^^
Any other ideas ;P ? No, i'm not joking i'm really having this error ^^
Thanks for all help

1) Download the latest version of Nero AAC Codec 1.1.34.2 (http://www.nero.com/eng/down-ndaudio.php) (is free and best than old dll method, you don't need anymore aac.dll, aacenc32.dll and NeroIPP.dll, only NeroAacEnc.exe).
2) Use the latest bsn.dll from May 14 2007 (http://kurtnoise.free.fr/index.php?dir=BeLight/&file=bsn_20070513.zip) (like in your first post) and a command line like:
BeSweet.exe -core( -input 2ch.wav -output 2ch.mp4 )
-bsn( -cbr 256 -aacprofile_lc ) -ota( -d 2 )
In your command line:
-azid( -s stereo -c normal -L -3db )
canīt be applied to wav input, azid is only to decode ac3 files
-aacprofile_he
is not recommended for stereo 256 Kb/s (only until 64-96 Kb/s) for better quality use -aacprofile_lc
If you don't like command line use the latest BeLight-0.22_RC1.exe (http://kurtnoise.free.fr/index.php?dir=BeLight/&file=BeLight-0.22_RC1.exe), never BeSweetGUI very outdated in aac encoders.

Its everythhing okay now, thanks for your instructions.
But meGUI keeps insisting on error.
I could encode AAC with BeLight , no problems. But with meGUi, it just says "error", and i can't find anywhere on meGUI where i can have a log.
Could you help me with this problem too dude ?
And again, thanks for the help with AAC . Now at least BeLight can encode it, but it would be very very useful if i could queue all jobs on meGUI =]
Thankz
Pablo
EDIT:
Tried a stand-alone audio AVS. Not many lines, easy things.
AudioDub(NICAC3Source(""D:\KABA_2707_DVD\VIDEO_TS\Lucky Star DVD07 - Not Forced T01 48K 16bit 2ch.wav"))
Same error. The difference is that it goes faster to the error ;P
When i drag/drop WAV file there, it starts to "preprocessing" something, then goes to error.
Thanks ^^

Thank you Tebasuna! Using the latest bsn.dll solved the problem for me (PS: Nero 8 doesn't contain those DLLs, it seems to use an all-in-one instead), so I had to use the exe encoder.
Anyway, I have a problem: there's a strange "pook" at the start of what I encoded. This happens with both FAAC and Nero AAC, but it doesn't happen when I encode manually with FAAC (haven't tried Nero AAC). Only happens with BeSweet.
Anyway, my BeSweet params:
"W:\dev\animu\progs\besweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "W:\dev\animu\rozen\polyphonica\e11\op.wav" -output "W:\dev\animu\rozen\polyphonica\e11\op_4.m4a" -logfile "W:\dev\animu\rozen\polyphonica\e11\op_4.log" ) -bsn( -vbr 0.6 -aacprofile_lc ) -ota( -g max ) -boost( /b2=4 /l=0.6 )
The 'pop' is very noticeable because there's supposed to be silence there.
I've uploaded a sample file, please have a look and see if you can help >< http://www.fileflyer.com/view/IxQbqBp
Thanks in advance =x

I can't reproduce your problem. Of course the 'pop' is there, but seems like is present also in the source, because the 'pop' is at -1 dB and the rest of song is at -5 dB, not possible after a -ota ( -g max ).
Can you send the first MB of the source?

Couldn't figure out how to cut it by size, so I cut it by length:
Ok. Analyzing your sample:
File ........: D:\Internet\op_4sec.wav
Size ........: 888992 bytes
---------------------------------------------- Header Info
ChunkID .....: RIFF
RiffLength ..: 888984
Container ...: WAVE
SubchunkID ..: fmt (Length: 16)
AudioFormat .: 1 (Integer)
NumChannels .: 2
SampleRate ..: 48000
ByteRate ....: 192000
BlockAlign ..: 4
BitsPerSample: 16
SubchunkID ..: JUNK (Length: 52)
SubchunkID ..: data (Length: 888888)
Offset data .: 104
Duration ....: 4.62963 sec., (0h. 0m. 4.62963s.)
------------------------------------------------- End Info
There are a subchunk JUNK, legal but unusual, than BeSweet interpret like data adding 15 samples at the begining of the stream.
Then:
- Is only a BeSweet bug not related with encoders, using wav -> wav also produce the 'pop'.
- You can use other GUI's (Foobar, BeHappy, ...) or command line to encode.
- Or use other method to generate or fix (WaveWizard) the source wav's to obtain more standard wav header.
- Or use BeSweet with a delay of -1 ms with -ota( -d -1 ). At 48000 Hz 15 samples are only 0.3125 ms but ota seems need integer parameters.
