Smallest Anime .Vob

The smallest vobs I have for anime is 4 gigs. I want to test settings, but this is takes me a LONG time to encode with Gknot two-pass. Is there a way to cut up the vobs so that i only get like 30 seconds or a minute to play around with? Or does anyone have something like this available? I need to see what bitrate/resolutions/file size/interlacing looks like, etc.

Not being able to set number of frames or duration to encode is one of the main reasons why I still use VDub manually.

- Make the 1mn selection with DVD2AVI and then Gordian Knot with this test.d2v (you put manually the bitrate) and you do the 2 pass or...
- You can make a test with the first minutes of the movie, using the Set Credits Start at the point where your test is ending and then encoding only the movie..
