Hi,

Ive searched high and low but cant find anything to help encode from Premiere Pro CS3 into H264 that is compatible on the xbox 360. Im just trying to convert standard def home movies into H264 files to play on the 360

Has anyone been able to do this successfully? Is the included Mainconcept H264 encoder just not cut out to do x360 compatible files?

Ive tried changing the profile from 3.1 to 4.1, various bitrates but its all no go - 360 just wont play them.

Any advice? Should I use another encoder? If so any links to step by step settings would be great.

Thanks

Maybe something wrong with your encoder and you change another encoder the problem will be solve and while why don't you try to encode to other format for example wmv format

If the options are present in the software try H.264 main profile with it set to 4.1

I've had the same problem with Premiere and PS3 and found out through trial and error that the mp4 container that Premiere CS3 H.264 encoder creates is not recognized by PS3, but the raw streams inside of it are valid.
I was able to take the mp4 file produced by CS3 encoder and remux it with "Yamb" and the file then played perfectly in PS3.

You may want to try the the same approach.
