HELP, Firewire Transfer problem

Hi, when I try to transfer from DV through firewire the audio is really bad and stuttering.The software I use is Cyberlink power director and Sony vegas. However if i capture using windows movie maker the vid and audio are o.k. The problem is when i try to replay using any software including windows movie maker the replay speed is too fast.Can anyone assist with the solution for the two problems of the firewire in cyberlink and Sony and the replay speed when using windows media player? Thanks.
