Wii discs used another seed than normal DVDs, more info on http://www.ingenieria-inversa.cl/

to backup a disc you could do it in 2 ways:
-from PC using a 816XB drive from LG (LG from XBOX360 works too) and a proggie named rawdump
-from the Wii, using a program that rip parts to SD card (and you have to reconstruct them. or using the brand new UsbGecko

although those images are still encrypted, but that is not important to make 1:1 backups.
the encryption scheme seems hard to break because they use AES128 CBC in each 4KB chunk

The 816XB LG is a reader only, right?

I read some place that with the rawdump I can get an ISO image.
I presume that the second way (rip to SD card) got the same image.

Can you burn the ISO image with any DVD burner brand?
That ISO image is single or dual layer (4.7 or 9.4)?
