better quality possible, which program ?

that was many month ago, i had rip some dvd and i used Aviutl, the quality was, i think, the better i found.So 6 months later i come back in the arena of dvd ripping and want to know if the situation has change...is aviutl always the better or someone else do better ?

the time doesn't take any importance for me. :)

Six months? Have you even heard of Nandub/GKnot yet? How about DivX 4? If not, step into doom9's guide corner and have a look around. Things have changed (a lot!).
