I saw numerous examples of using mencoder to encode directly from avs scripts on the forum, however none of the versions I downloaded fseem to support this feature. mencoder just dies with the message:
Sorry, this file format is not recognized/supported
avs2yuv also doesn't help, since it produces trash.
Can anyone point me to the working build of mencoder thar suopports avisynth?
Thanks

This one:
† Download MPlayer/MEncoder svn rev 25513 - 12/24/2007?
Unfortunately that doesn't work. Official version neither. AVS scripts work fine in other win apps (Vdub, media player, etc.) and mencoder works fine with AVI files. There must be some catch. Any ideas?
Thanks.[

It wouldn't. Pipes in windows...
Try avs2avi with huffyuv if you must
Any ideas?
No.
And it's unlikely anybody else will have any either,
unless you provide a lot more info.
