View Full Version : Progressive Blended Dupe Frames .. How to Solve ?

well folks i am working on a source which is telecined except for this scene and should be brought to 23.976 fps but i cannot fix this scene :s .. problem is that the three progressive frames which appear before the two interlaced frames have blends in them and i have tried many things but have not ben able to solve it .. please suggest any deinterlacing chain or filter which can help me out here .. i have already tried cdeblend , mrestore , mcbob+nnedi but to no avail :( .. please help me out people :p

fixblendIVTC .. trying to get it working .. not able to :s .. is this able to solve the thing ?

It's probably just some bizarro way to make it 12 fps. IVTC as normal, then unblend, or just ignore it completely, since as far as I could tell it hard blending happens on a few frames, and a little temporal bleed on others isn't going to hurt anything.

hmm so i should unblend AFTER IVTCïng or before it ? also well temporal bleeding .. is a really rare case on this source .. yes it doesnt hurt but even then wanted to fix it to the max :p will try and see the results of unblending after IVTC ..

P.S : I was unblending before IVTC :confused::devil:

It's blended prior to the telecine, so any unblending before ivtc is definitely wrong. Try just Unblend() to take care of the hard blends; you can't really fix the temporal bleeding but might be able to lessen it with some long filter chain if you really care that much.
