View Full Version : Error After Decryption when using Vista

Using RipIt4Me under Vista Home Premium, DVD Decrypter displays the following error message upon disc rip completion:

After I click OK RipIt4Me can successfully continue running. It's a minor error, but curious if it's fixable at all?

I did try to set DVD Decrypter to run in "Windows XP SP2 Compatibility Mode" as well with no difference.

As you know, the program is no longer under development, so if there's a bug, it won't be fixed.

I know. I was just curious if anyone knew a workaround under Vista.

It still works nevertheless.

Last option would be DVDFabHD Decrypter which is still in dev.

Just a thought but try setting RipIt4Me to run in that mode as well.

Hi!

What is the DVD Title and Region #?
"House of the Dead" R1 DVD from 2003.

However, it's happening on each dvd I try thus far.

Oh well, worth a try I suppose.

I don't have Vista yet but I had some weird errors with DVD Decrypter/RipIt4Me when setting these up on a friends machine (also on Vista Home Premium).

He uses this combination all the time but he's never had the error you posted.

Sorry it didn't work for you but it sorted his machine out.

Looks like a problem accessing the registry, you can try to uncheck everything on the registry tab of the settings dialog or (i think this is the cause) uncheck "Disable Media Change Notification" and probably also "Auto Insert Notification" on the device tab.

Setting RipIt4Me and DVD Decrypter to both run as Administrator solved the issue 100%.

If you only set DVD Decrypter to run as Administrator, RipIt4Me fails to import the PSL file into DVD Decrypter.
