I've been encoding my Heroes captures into x264 mkv files, last night I encoded one and didn't notice until the end that I hadn't set the extension to mkv and it created an mp4 instead.
Is their a simple technique to convert the mp4 file to an mkv container, I've read that virtualdubmod will do it, and I've also read that mkvmerge is the way to go? Has anyone ever done it and could you give an explanation of what steps to take? I have the mp4 video file, the mp4 audio file and the muxed final mp4 file.
