Whenever i try to play any video file in my PC , i get a black screen , but the audio plays . and this is happening in every player , like mplayer , vlc , wmp .
EDIT : Ok, i solved it . i had 2 monitors connected , and i was viewing the video on secondary monitor . SO i took out one monitor and everything is fine now .

Hi!
Is this something that has just recently changed?
If so, have you installed new hardware or software?
Have you changed any settings on any video-related software?
Have you tried performing a "System Restore" back to the last time things were working properly?

You can probably get it to work on the second monitor, if you want to keep it that way, by changing the renderer from Overlay/Default to VMR9 or EVR in mpc. In VLC I think it's called directx9, and I don't know how to do it in WMP. Alternately, you can just swap primary & secondary.
