Hello I have a quick question to ask. When im encoding my hd dvd dump to a mkv file can I keep the Dolby TrueHD audio? I guess its 7.1, but yeah is it possible to keep that format and or quality? IF I have to re encode it to a different format can i basically keep the same quality?

Well heres what I got when demux was lookn at it

Dynamic range control = -10.6371 dB .. 8.4282 dB

It's not necessarily 7.1. It could be 5.1. also.

Dolby TrueHD is lossless. You can convert it to Flac which is lossless too. You can use eac3to to do it.

thanks so much! Would you happen to know of a good guide for hd dvd to high def format on a comp would you? Ive only seen partial guides and I never saw that post for eac3to.
