Question.
Who has experience with the Medion (Aldi) Dvd-hd recorder MD81888. The recorder seems nearly the same as the Lite-on HD 970GX (I saw only a picture from the backside) and uses also the software easy guide.
The MD81888 has a Lite-on dvd/cd writer LMU-713H, 320 GB HD (?), tuner (?), main board (?) and
1. Video chip STMicroelectronics 511-STV6618D = video integrated circuits video switch matrix for dvd applications.
2. ABT Anchor Bay Technologies, ABT 1010 High Performance video scaling chip (480p / 1080p, 10 bit engine).
3. Silicon Image Vastlane HDMI transmitter Sil9030.
I like to know if there are upgrade (change)posibilities. Beside regionfree because I found that already.
