I'm a bit confused about color matrices, I see people doing color matrix conversions (for accurate representation of color, it seems) but I can't figure out what color matrix I should use when piping video to x264 for playback under mpc.
I'd like to try this to see if I can get any tangible benefit (quality or otherwise) over just leaving it alone, but I have no idea what I should be doing. Right now I'm working with a video that has SMPTE 170M (Rec.601) and was wondering what matrix I should use..
