How to change Dvd region? Not set region free, just change region

I want to test a region free player, so i wish to change a dvd region to see if it can play region1, 2 etc..
is there a way to do that? or any small test dvd i can download from internet for this purpose?

Hi!

DVD Shrink will allow you to set any DVD you are ripping to any region.

BUT

Be aware that, in addition to different Region numbers, there is also the possibility of FORMAT difference (primarily NTSC vs. PAL) that you won't be able to check out by simply changing region numbers...

BTW - If you use a rewriteable DVD, after the initial burn, if I remember correctly, you can then use DVD Decrypter to change (and change again and again) to any Region...

i just need to test if the player is region free, so if i change from region 2 to region 1 with dvd shrink, it should be enough to test it right? thanks

Yes, for those two regions, although since R2 DVDs are typically in PAL format and R1 DVDs are in NTSC format, your player and/or TV MAY not properly display the video...
