View Full Version : InfiniFilm DVD Impossible To Backup?

Usually when a dvd has multiple angles, I rip out the 1st angle via IfoEdit and go from there.
However, I cannot find a proper way to backup a dvd that is authored / using InfiniFilm technology. An example of a dvd w/ this is ELF from 2003. I tried extracting the stream using PgcDemux and IfoEdit and both failed.
I want to go from DVD9 to DVD5, and without the 3gb of extra "InfiniFilm" content the disc could be re-authored without any re-encoding whatsoever. I just need to learn how to strip out the main movie and re-author it.

InfiniFilm is not multi-angle but multi-story with ILVU and BOV cells. Use DvdShrink Reauthor mode to get the title you want.

Hi!
In the R1 version of "Elf", some, if not all ofthe "InfiniFilm" extras, are contained in VTS_07.
If you eliminate that VTS and ALL subpictures, I believe you should be "home free"...

What's that "InfiniFilm" concept?

What's that "InfiniFilm" concept?Similar to the "White Rabbit" in "Matrix" - onscreen links to additional data...

I know it's been a while since this thread started, but I finally tried using DVD Shrink on the film, and then replacing the main movie in VobBlanker and it worked perfectly!

I have curious about "infinifilm", so search DVD in Japan and confirmed.
I found 2 DVDs and confirmed "John Q" Disc 2.
It seems to be different from other contries.
The cells which have button and subpicture for jumping to extras are not interleave nor multi-angle, but normal cells.
I think "Spider-man" and "Bourne Identity" is more interesting.
