HD Subtitles who what why where when

Who out there knows what is needed to create subtitle files for HD DVD and BluRay? Anyone know what software is needed, or if you can convert from SD subtitle files?

You'll need to write a subtitle application and bring this into Scenarist. It'll need to be done by hand at this point.

I've also written a command-line tool to convert HD-DVD subtitles (demuxed using the excellent evodemux program) to BDN format for use with authoring in Scenarist BDMV.
