Hi to all. I have registered to search some info about vobedit. In first I want to introduce myself and thank you in advance.
I try to convert some vobs saved on my PC from a DVD camcorder in one avi file.
After that I'll try to edit the avi file and add or cut or move parts or add filters.....
I'm following a guide find on the net but the result are not that guide promise or I'm not use it in the rigth way......
I'm starting from 21 vob files of different size.
My steps are: run vobedit. click on open and select my firsth vob file named VTS_01_001.VOB as guide said. Select file --> joinClips. At this point vobedit ask me a fileID (I dont' know what is it. I try to insert 1 after 2 and 8 and it seem the result haven't any differences. After vob edit have this ID start the conversion and performs some operations to every my initial files and the result is not only one files as guide said but still more files. In my case 14 vob files pf different size.
What is the file ID vobedit ask me?
In conclusion, I am proceeding for the right way or exist other methods to convert vob files in only one avi file? Is possible to do it directly in a single step with a tool?
After, in the last, can you suggest me a valid sofware that allow to edit avi and add, move, cut scane? Many thanks...Marco

Hi!exist other methods to convert vob files in only one avi file? Is possible to do it directly in a single step with a tool?If the .VOBs are all of the identical video and audio formats and settings, you might want to use "MPEG Mediator" - and simply load the .VOBs into it in the order you prefer...

As far as I know, there is only a FULLY FUNCTIONAL (no limit on number of files) version of MPEGMediator.

I'm guessing that, despite your earlier response, of the 21 files, only 3 are of IDENTICAL (in all respects) video and audio formats...

From where did you download MPEGMediator?

I see during the file open there is a flag about load the linked segmentsThat sounds like VirtualDub and not MPEGMediator.

Please post a screen capture here that shows what you're describing...

That's for loading in multiple .AVI segments.

I still think it would be good if you tried MPEGMediator...
