looking for some advice,

Hello i have recently downloaded some .avi files which have come in two parts and what i would like to do is to join the two files to create a larger file to convert to a dvd.

Now i have a piece of software from boilsoft.com to allow me to join them but when i run the files, i get an error stating that the audio bitrate are different, and the joining fails.

What i would like to know is, is it possible to alter the bitrate? to make them equal? or is there any other solution?
