I have simple needs - no re-encoding, no splitting, no ripping - just turning a DVD into an identical .ISO file on disk.
I would like to do this with a simple 'dd' command in the shell ... but I don't know what that would look like.
I assume that I would need some kind of decss binary that I could pipe output of 'dd' to ... and then just redirect it to the .iso file.
Has anyone done this before ?
Also, other than the fact that I will not be removing PUOs/PUAs, is there any downside to doing this on the command line with 'dd' as opposed to using DVD decryptor (in windows) which is what I used to do ?
I figure an iso is an iso, and if I get it successfully, there aren't really any other relevant details...
Comments ?
(FreeBSD on my end, but I am sure I can translate your linux command if you have one...)
