Any ideas on how to find out what combination of pixel/display aspect ratios to use to display correctly on a portable dvd player? Are there any collections of test xvids to try out?
I have tried a few programs such as MPEG Modifier (from the guides and FAQS), to change a widescreen xvid into various pixel and display aspect ratios, but it still displays as squashed letterbox on the widescreen.
The screen apparently has a resolution of 480x234.
The Player is an Orbit d900, and the chipset is Sunplus SPM3050A....?? The thing does everything, play dvd, fm transmits, gets freeview telly even plays NES games but won't display XVID correctly.
Any ideas however wild would be gratefully accepted.
