Okay, i searched and read several threads, but found nothing that matched my situation or that offered much help.
First, I used DVD Shrink to make a clip from a DVD in vob format. Next, I extracted the ac3 from the clip/vob using DGIndex. Then, with BeLight, i converted the ac3 to mp3.
Listening to the ac3 in VLC player it sounds fine, but the mp3 has frequent high pitched squealing when played in VLC or foobar.
