Buffer size to use for 1280x720 23.976fps VC1 on Xbox 360?

Hi there, I'm curious what buffer size people are using for HD DVD backups to VC1 for playback on the Xbox 360, I've been using 6 seconds without too much trouble (I think). Whats the norm most people are using?

Also intested in the number of seconds between key frames, I've been using 2 seconds gaps? Is that ok, I know its different depending on the source, but I'm kinda looking for an "average" reasonable value. I've not got the time to go over every HD DVD I've got and test it all out, as each encode takes around 24 hours to begin with :(

You'll find quite a few people using 60 seconds (myself included) with no problems at all. I find it more forgiving for high peak bit rates in VBR encodes.

60000 is a good Value for 1 pass CBR to improve CBR Mode.

For VBR 2pass : -v_peakbuffer 10000 # 10000 is a good "all Day use" Value

For CBR : -v_Buffer 60000 # 60000 can help improve quality only in CBR Mode
