We are looking for a programmer to build a web front-end application that handles video streams (in MPEG2 format) under Linux based platform. This system will need to perform the following functions
1: Be very familiar with the tools listed on http://doom9.net
2: Burn mpeg clips over a user-set period of time onto a DVD. This should include support to handle burning of a single time period across multiple DVDs as well as provide a simple menu and title info.
3: Add a timecode as subtitles
4: Show real-time video feeds usig VLC client/server URLs
5: Allow for old video playback through VLC (dynamically start a vlc server for the request)
6: Provide thumbnail snapshots of a particular video across multiple time periods
7: Capability to archive & transcode videos
Only apply for this position if you do all of the above
If you could send an example "whatevers" that you developed that would be a big plus.
We are located in Baltimore, MD USA 21218, you may work on site, but this work can be all telecommute.
There would be weekly status meetings (over the phone or in person).
