How to play multiple episodes sequentially, cutting out credits?

For a party I want to show the BBC Blue Planet documentary series, which is 8 episodes on 4 discs. I want it to play all of them sequentially while also skipping over the credits.

Can I do this with just some software video player? Say, I rip all 4 discs and put them on my laptop, mount them all with Daemon Tools. VLC's playlist however, doesn't seem to give the option of starting a disc at a specific point.

Am I going to have to use DGIndex and VirtualDub? I'd like to have to avoid recompressing it.

If chapter ripping doesn't remove the credits, there's an older program called Vidomi that's an incredibly simple to use video editor; load the .VOBs, select the range, under General Options check "Ignore settings and use MPEG copy code," and it'll output an MPEG-2 file playable in your preferred software player. There's no re-encoding, so it's fast and there's no loss of quality. There are other freeware editors as well, but not as simple to use.

Where's the party? I'm a fellow Austinite.

I ended up using DGIndex to trim it and output a AVS file, and have MPlayer play that. Works great, no recompression.
