Newer media types may be incompatible with your older drive. Try +R media, and set the write speed to 4X instead of MAX.

@bgate

Hi!

Is this the same burner that was giving you problems back in April?

Yes, this is the same drive, however I have burned other things on it, just this am I burned disc 1-2-3 of the set with no problems. 2 were on a HP DVD+RW and the third was on a Verbatim DVD+RW, still can't seem to get it to burn to an +R, i get a msg about "syncronizing cache failed"

Have you PLAYED the .ISO image file (presumably the fourth of the set), using either VLC or mounting it under Daemon Tools, to make sure that the .ISO image file is not flawed?

No, haven't tried that, i'm a novice, what is "mounting using the Daemon tool"
I slowed the write speed from max to 4x, got the same result.

what is "mounting using the Daemon tool"Seeing that you're not at all familiar with Daemon Tools, I'd suggest you simply use the VLC player to directly play (no "mounting" required) to see if the .ISO image is faulty...
