Being the damn fool I was, I bought a laptop with vista on it. Of course, I immediately install MPC, FFDshow, etc. I noticed that when the processor is loaded at all (all it takes is a file read, network activity, etc.) audio has a tendency to skip in MPC and games (ie, supcom).

Does anyone know when/if MMCSS thread priority elevation support will be built into MPC? I ask because audio does not skip when using WMP, and the best I can figure is that it has to do with thread priority (based on some simple playing with thread priority).

i guess it has something to do with missing DirectSound direct hardware access in vista and MPC only supports DirecShow audio output...
we definatly need an OpenAL output module for MPC.

Multimedia Class Schedule is activated for the video with EVR Custom in MPC-Homecinema, but at the moment it's not done for the audio thread... :(
