I would like to take my HD-DVDs and put them in a ps3 compatible format, but without compressing them at all. one video stream and one audio stream is fine, but I would like to keep them as they are (1080p and DD+ or DTS).
Any way to do this? PS3 VIdeo 9 seems to be 2.0 audio only.

You could try to remux video and audio to MKV container and then install Linux on Ps3.

I think TSRemux will do it but only if the movie (.evo) is encoded with AVC codec. I tried one encoded with VC1 codec and it would not playback from an external USB drive, but an AVC encoded movie did. Is that what you were asking? I should qualify that, the AVC that played back was from a Blu-ray disk. I will try it from an HD-DVD disk soon, but I think it should work.

Yeah i want to do that to.
Best thing would be to make it a mkv.
Then convert the mkv to a vob with this tool: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=131782
But what do we need to make the HDDVD a MKV in x264? My movie is avc,
A step by step tutorial would be nice.

untouched audio will now work.
DD+ on HD-DVD is different from the one on BD.
So you will have to reencode the audio.
AVC and MPEG2 can be streamed or play backed through XMB.
VC1 will only work as AVCHD.
