Recording glitches !

Hello all,

I have been having a slight problem in my TV recording. I have a compro PVR TV tuner with direct encoding. The source is a digital connection via a dish. I am using standard Xvid MPEG-4 encoder and Ulead Mp3 for audio.

The problem is that the recording stops after some time. Suppose I have scheduled an hour of recording, it will stop after about 15-20 minutes. I am sure the problem is associated with the sound but I am just not able to put my finger on it.

Any help will be appreciated. Please feel free to ask for any clarifications.

Hi!I have a compro PVR TV tuner with direct encoding.If I am correct in presuming that, despite your use of the word "direct", there is software involved, I have a couple of possibly too obvious questions, if I may:

1) Does the capture software you're using have "setup" or "preference" options for maximum time or filesize?

2) Are you saving to a FAT32 format hard drive?

thanx for the reply. Yes, direct meant only software encoding. No hardware involved.

1) There is an option for maximum time and file size but it is embedded in the Tuner software itself.

2) I am saving it to an NTFS format hdd.
