Hi all, new here and not entirely sure where to post this query but I guess it qualifies as a newbie issue.
I'm trying to deshake some converted mpeg clips off a digital still camera (no details about it available) and don't know how to fill in the field re square pixels. Can I safely assume any digital mpeg source will be in square pixel format? Does converting it to AVI affect that? Is there any tool to determine this kind of thing, also how to know when a source is interlaced and whether the upper or lower field comes first. I kind of vaguely understand what is meant by these things but don't really have a clear concept of them and especially don't know what clues to look for in a clip of unknown origin.
Thanks for any help.
