Media Player Classic broken feature

Okay, what am I doing wrong.... I select from the Media Player Classic gui.... Play/After Playback/Close...

Then when I restart the app, I lose that setting. I'm able to keep my other settings within the player's settings. What's the registry setting for this? I downloaded the latest version off of SourceForge.

PS: I would just alter the mime settings in windows so that:
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayerc.exe" /play /close "%L"

But.. under Vista, I don't seem to have the option to change the commandline.

Any helpful suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

Thats unfortunately broken too. Im surprised nobody has caught this bug. Is there a URL which describes the various registry settings for this player?

I don't think so. Maybe that was done on purpose so there won't be "accidental" shutdowns or similar like if you forget that setting active in the case it was always active.

Yeah - considering the other options beside "Close" I'm not surprised the option is reset to "Do nothing" next time...

Thanks. I'm not sure if this is something I can ask in this forum/thread or not.... but does anyone know how to change the mime setting for .wav files (command-line options) for MS Vista? I know how to do this in XP and Win2k.

That's not a MIME type. You mean file association.

It works the same way on Vista.

That doesnt store the setting either.... my only hope is to send a command line switch... as long as someone can help for me to put this commandline switch in the file association for Vista... it certainly doesnt work the same way it does in XP/2000.

Where in the registry hives do I change the command line for file extension association for .wav files. Geez! LOL!

try to clean first your registry, then reinstall again the application...
