Hello!
Sometimes when im encoding something that i have recorded(TV) with my dvb-c card i get really small files with really low bitrate. I get a 134mb file with about 600 kbps bitrate and i want a 175mb (or sometimes 350 mb) file no matter what so a smaller file is not really acceptable. Sure, a couple of MB +- dosent matter but 134mb is way to undersized.
I dont really know if this is the right forum... but is there any way to get a larger file? Any settings somewhere?

Gordian Knot no longer functions correctly with Xvid 1.1.x or higher. Use an older build, x.264 VfW build, DivX or another app.

im using xvid 1.1.3 and it works just fine. This problem occurs when you have not uninstalled xvid before upgrading (or it didnt uninstall properly)
I had to reinstall windows to get it working again. For me it happened when i installed autogk as well as gknot. but 1.1.3 xvid works.

Sorry but I don't think so. I've tried GK with Xvid 1.1.3 and it works. Sure it doesn't works with x264 cli (or with GKMod, but some problems too)
I think it's a compressibility issue. But for me it's not a problem : I ask to GK a 175 MB file and the result is a 135 MB one : it's smaller : I'm glad ! It'll take less space on my hard drive...:)

As I said, Gordian Knot no longer functions correctly with the latest versions of Xvid. This statement was in regards to the original post reporting undersized files.

Why does some persons say that it works then ?
GK uses VDubmod to encode and VDubmod works very good with Xvid 1.1.3 else there would be a new version
